5 Myths to Starting a Soulful Business

webinars-2.png

Dear Seekers... dear one's with an idea in your heart but fear in your mind.

Don't worry because I am about to debunk the myths to starting a business that are holding you back.

I always thought entrepreneurship was for the elite or the super smart people with tons of investors backing them up. I never knew it would be accessible for me. I am a single mom with 3 kids, never married, & was on welfare for years while going to college. YET, I could not fathom a career at a dead end job working for chump change & no soulful meaning involved.

It wasn't until I stepped foot out into the world as a professional, savvy, and soulful woman that I knew my place in the world & my true power. It was like the magic ingredient to the next level of my personal evolution & success.

So, because I know what's possible, I am on fire to share that with you! On freakin' fire people!

Here's how it goes:

The 5 Myths

1. You need a lot of start up money to start a business.

Bunk! Bunk, bunk, bunk! Yes, there will need to be some minimal costs involved, but if you choose to start your business online, there is little to no monthly overhead. You profit just about everything unless you have affiliates helping you for a percentage.

You are also WAY more resourceful than you know.

You could find a lot more start up money if you tried. I, personally, used my extra student loan money & scholarships to fund any memberships, courses, technology, & tools that I may need not to mention investing into a business coach. I knew I could skimp on most things to get started, but I do well with the support of others who have gone before me. That was my main investment: support. You could also do gofund me accounts, reach out to your communities, friends & family, &/or keep your day job like most people & start up gradually.

You do not need loads of money to get started. You can start now.

2. It has already been done before.

Perfect! You know what that means... there's a thriving market for it. The more you see people doing it, the more you know there's a need for it. Hardly anyone is reinventing the wheel unless they are Albert Einstein. So you are going to bust out into the world with possibly the same or similar concepts, but with your unique flare. Trust me, you have a gift that only you can give.

Your essence will be sure to shine through.

3. I'm not ready yet. When I get that next degree or certificate, than I'll be ready.

In some cases extra training is necessary & vital, but I believe most of us are ready to give something NOW that you don't need extra training for. Will training always benefit you in the long run? Yes, but it should not be used as a crutch to lean on while you are stalling on stepping out in the world as a force to be reckoned with.

I may be biased, but I am willing to bet you are ready NOW. You only need to be a couple of steps ahead of someone to offer them something, a piece of guidance, a product that will help them. It is only fear holding you back.

4. I dont know where to start

Yes, you do. You start by reaching out for help. Who is doing it successfully already that you know? Ask them to have a coffee date with you to bounce some ideas off of. Find a course that can guide you a bit. It only seems so big & scary because you are giving into this mythological idea that starting a business is too hard, too far fetched, & too complex. Once you start asking the questions you will see that you have already sets things in motion: the first step.

5. I have to do sleazy sales to be successful.

This was a big one for me. I want to do soul centered work, I want people to trust me, & I ultimately I want to feel good about what I am doing.

Good news! I have found loads of people who have taught me strategies that feels so authentic, they are in service of others, & totally work for your bringing in revenue! Bingo! Now, you're speakin my language.

Soul centered + service + right livelyhood = Happy Mama.

I'm talking charging what your services are worth in value, but also leading with a heart of service whether that be in person at live events or through awesome educational webinars. It can be done. You just have to hold tight to your intensions & your values while leading with service.
